The Goan Association (UK) is a voluntary organisation founded in 1966 and incorporated as The G.O.A (UK) Ltd in 1983.
The Management body comprises of a Board of Elected & Appointed Directors (for names and telephone numbers click here). All office-bearers serve in a voluntary capacity and this has been the case since its inception.

The Diamond Jubilee Goan Festival held on Sunday 2nd August 2026 was hugely successful by all accounts, with the Mass Service celebrated by Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao and the last public performance by Remo Fernandes, complemented by numerous artistes from Goa. It was followed by an enjoyable G.O.A. / North London Senior Citizens Social on 28th August 2026 and a very competitive Trook Tournament on Sunday 30th August 2026.

We are now, with great enthusiasm, looking forward to the Diamond Jubilee Ball being held at the Thistle Hotel, Terminal 5, Heathrow on Saturday 3rd October 2026. It is the first formal black-tie event after a long time and promises to be an exciting and exhilarating evening out, starting with a welcome drink and followed by a three-course dinner. In attendance will be West Coast Band and a DJ but there will also be a “surprise” act.
The pricing has been kept as low as possible; Members £40.00 and Non-members £45.00. However, we are pricing a table of 10 for £400.00 (members or non-members) and the table lead will receive a Diamond Jubilee gift of a bottle of wine. I am appealing to Village Organisations to take a table each, particularly, those that are dormant or dissolved and do not have their own socials. It would be fantastic for example, if Tivim and Majorda had a table each making a unique and enjoyable evening for their members.
Thistle Hotel is offering limited free parking and discounted room rates (with breakfast) for those who would like to enjoy a drink and not drive at the end of the evening! For overnight accommodation, there are also other reasonably priced hotels within walking distance.
Getting there by car is fairly straightforward as Thistle Hotel is located on the main A4 from London heading west. By public transport, the hotel is connected by mono-rail pods to Terminal 5 , which is served by the Piccadilly & Elizabeth Lines and British Rail. Bus 423 from Heathrow Central Station stops right outside the hotel.

The invaluable services of the Goan diaspora were praised at a special event at the House of Commons which was hosted by Swindon MPs, Heidi Alexander and Will Stone along with the Goan Mayor of Swindon, Imtiyaz Shaikh and Swindon Councillor Adorabelle Amaral-Shaikh. A special medal struck for the event were presented to various deserving members of the Goan Community, which included our President, Ravi Vaz.
We are thrilled to announce that our Finance Director, Flavio Gracias, has been awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the King’s Birthday Honours List. This accolade celebrates his outstanding contributions to the community in Ealing.
