July 14, 1920 – October 16, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Isabela “Bella” Menezes D’Souza, on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the age of 106. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren at Union Villa Long-Term Care in Markham, Ontario.

Born in Tivim, Goa, to the late Alex Rosario and Maria Josephina Menezes, Bella was the last surviving of their seven children and the beloved wife of the late Gabriel D’Souza. She later settled in Nairobi, Kenya, where she spent many cherished years before making her home in Canada.

She is survived by her children Pascoal, Estefy (Cyril) and Sally (Paul); her grandchildren Kirsten (Darryl), Tiffany, Cheryl, Neil and Chloé; and her great-grandchildren Annabel, Olivia and Noah.

Deeply spiritual and endlessly loving, Bella filled every room with joy and made everyone around her feel cherished.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Isabela D’Souza may be made to Union Villa Long-Term Care . The family is deeply grateful to the staff for the compassionate care they gave her.

In loving memory of Margarida Isabel Gomez

10th June 1947 – 4th October 2026

It is with deep sadness that the Gomez family announce the passing of Ms Margarida Isabel Gomez (née Diniz). Beloved Mother, Sister, and Grandmother.

Margarida passed away peacefully on the 4th October 2026 in London surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Her determination, strength, generosity and dedication to her family and spirituality will always be remembered.

Formerly from Nairobi, Kenya; Margarida attended St Teresa’s Girls School during the 50’s and 60’s, going on to work as one of East Africa’s first female computer programmers for ICL and Ford.

Margarida moved to London in1971 to pursue her career in Computing with her siblings Vigilia, Rosinha and brother Remy following closely behind. They were soon joined in London by their mother (Emeliana Diniz) and father (Mingel Diniz). Margarida settled in the Kilburn area of North West London and remained there for almost 50 years, marrying her late husband Vincent Gomez Senior, raising their three children, Natasha, Martin and Louisa. Margarida adored her grandchildren Maya (20), Rosie (11) Vincent (9) Rumi (6) and family pet, Mindy.

The funeral will take place on Thursday 29th October 2026, 9.45 am at West London Crematorium followed by a spiritual remembrance at a later date. Please contact her son, Martin on 07384 254341 on martingomez54321@gmail.com for more information.
