Tony Machado, Ex-Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania the first president of GOA NSW was called to his Heavenly Home when he passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 30th September 2025 in Sydney, Australia.

Beloved Husband to Quinnie, loving Dad to Elaine and Tonia and son-in-law Steve. Devoted Grandpa to his grandchildren Georgia and Sophie. Second son of the Late Frank/Lucy Machado, brother to the Late Vincent/Helena Machado, Evelyn/Stan Godin, Margaret/Malachy Ferris, Michael/Patricia, Elizabeth and David.

Apart from being the first GOA NSW President, Tony served the association as President for various terms from: Feb 1977 – June 1979 | July 1982 – June 1983 and July 1987 – June 1988. We remain thankful for his service to our association and extend our deepest condolences to his entire family.

Mass of Thanksgiving celebrating the life of Tony Machado will be held on Friday 10th October 2025 at 11am (Sydney time), Holy Name Catholic Church, 35 Billyard Avenue, Wahroonga
