Dear relatives and friends, thank you all for your kind messages and heartfelt condolences on the passing of our dear mother, Clara. Your support has brought great comfort to our family. We would like to share the details of Mum’s funeral arrangements:

23rd February 2026

Funeral Service: St. John Fisher Church, 207 Cannon Hill Lane, London SW20 9DB
Service will be live streamed at: https://www.churchservices.tv/merton
This will be followed by a private burial for immediate family.

After the burial, the family will join you at: Grand Sapphire Banqueting & Hotel, 45 Imperial Way, Croydon CRO 4RR.

Gildo Fernandes

Gildo Fernandes 76, passed away on 19 February 2026 in the comfort of his family’s care.

Gildo is lovingly remembered by his children Jude (Carol) and Elaine (Matt), their mother, Yolanda, grandchildren Jackson, Chase, and Ethan, siblings Cyril (Felly), Maggie (Francis), Francis (Flora), Maria (John), Joe (Meena), and Alvin, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Gildo was the second eldest of seven children. He immigrated to London, England in 1968, and in 1989 moved his family to Edmonton to be closer to his parents and siblings.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, 6 March 2026, at St. Albert Parish and will be livestreamed and recorded for later viewing. For those in the UK, this corresponds to 6:00pm GMT.
