Rev Father Fernando (Dr Lourenco Noronha)

It is with profound sadness that the Noronha family announce the death of their beloved Rev Father Fernando ( Dr Lourenco Noronha ) who passed a away peacefully after a short illness in Vienna Austria on 03/12/2025.

He was born in Chorao Goa. Studied in Aldona, Belgaum and later in Switzerland where he was ordained priest in 1959 . He then served as a priest in Dar -es-salaam and Mbeya Tanzania . He subsequently went on to do his masters in Germany and completed his Doctoral studies in Vienna where he worked as a lecturer at the university until his retirement.

He is survived by his brother Joseph and families of his deceased brothers Amorito and Alfedo and sisters Melba and Laura. He will always be remembered for his devotion to his family.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Loving brother/brother-in-law to late CP/late Joanita Colaco, late Magdu/late Santano Rebello, late MX/late Inez Colaco, Hilary/Precy Fernandes, late Ceasar/late Vienna Fernandes, late Thelma Fernandes, Laura Fernandes, Placido Fernandes.

Funeral Mass: 11.00AM, Thursday 18th December 2025. St Stephen’s RC Church 26 Deepdene Road, Welling DA16 3QL

Burial at 12.30pm at Sidcup Cemetery, Foots Cray Lane, DA14 4NS
